The Athimba farm sits on 50 acres of arable land in Maua, Meru. Founded in 1982, Athimba Coffee is a family-grown legacy rooted in the fertile volcanic red soils of the Nyambene Hills, on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya. What began as a smallholder venture has flourished into a globally recognized name in sustainable specialty Arabica coffee. Our unique terroir, marked by rich soils, ideal altitudes, and year-round sunshine allows us to produce consistently high-quality beans with exceptional flavor and complexity.
